Birthday Dress 🎉

Image
I wanted to make a special Dress for my birthday, and decided to try a new technic from Shingo Sato. This is the pattern I made after the instruction from the book. I had to iron the pleats in place before sewing. You can see the front part on the wrong side before stitching. - and the front part after stitching. I found a pattern with pockets from BurdaStyle to use for the skirt.  I'm happy how the dress turned out! 😄 BurdaStyle #102 05.2019

"Dancing" Outfit :)

Image
This is a Happy Girl with her new Dancing outfit 💙 She decided both the fabric and what I was going to make for her. She says; "I wanna have a sweater and skirt of this" Luckily I had enough fabric to sew both a sweater and a skirt, even though I have combine it with turquoise jersey. Of course it makes me Happy to see how lucky she is wearing this! 😄 BurdaStyle #129 01/2020

Flower Blouse 🌺

This is a fabric that I LOVE 💕 I have made a  Flounce Blouse  of this fabric earlier, and I enjoy wearing it! This is a great pattern from BurdaStyle 02/2020 and I like the style very much! It's unique with the high waistline in front and longer at the back. The cuffs are really nice too with four buttons.  Buttons in front are hide behind the opening. BurdaStyle #111 02/2020

Refashion & Wool Sweaters!

Image
Sometimes when you you're lucky and find nice wool sweaters on sale you can't leave them behind...😂 I'm still in my refashion world 🌍 and I like to try new version and combinations.. You can see how I have cut the sweaters below, and it's very easy sewing it together. A good tip is to use an invisible elastic at the waist so it will fit better. I have used the long neck as sleeve cuffs, and the ribbon for the cerise sweater as decoration at the princess seams.  This time I tried a new style around the neck with two colors, and I think it's nice!

Dress with Collar !

I’m taking care of all my patterns, and now and then I look  and find a pattern I want to give new try. It’s nice to see how different it could be with another fabric. This is a German pattern from Meine N ä hmode 2011.  The seam allowance is included in the pattern, and that is very unusual. I chose to use courtelle jersey which are a steady fabric, but still stretchy.   I think the pleats at the side is a lovely detail, and I like the big collar. I have been sewing both the collar and the cuffs for the sleeves on the right side  and then turned it over the seam. The big button on the collar is also a nice detail together with the sleeve cuffs. I have omitted the zipper at the back since it’s easy to take on and off when the fabric is stretchy. I’m really Happy with the outcome 😊 You can see the pleats on the wrong side to the left and the right side of fabric to the right. The collar and cuffs are finished. The buttons
