Top for a Sweetie!

Image
This is a birthday present for a sweet girl. She loves to wear short tops like the young girls do. This is leftovers from a dress I made earlier, and it was exactly enough to make this top. At firsst I stitched the side seams, and then the hem before the front parts  are stitched together. Then I stitched a seam close to the edges.   The hem for the short cap-sleeves are stitched.  I made the draw-string for the front parts. I made the facing for the front- and back parts that I have iron with vliseline. The facing are stitched in place. - And at last the cap-sleeves. I had to finish wiht a bias at the lower armholes. Blouse with Gathering Neck!

Image
This is a blouse pattern I wanted to try 😊 It's special since it's gathered around the neck. I found the nice viscose fabric in a local shop close to where we live. I thought it would be great together with jeans. The button-list are cut seperately.  The sleeves are rathe wide at the hem, but with a nice finish with gathering. I have gathered the back of the neck, and also on both sides before sewing the collar in place. I attacehed the button list before sewing the collar. The collar is attached to the collar stand. The sleeve cuffes are gathered and attatched to the sleeve cuffs. The blouse is finished :) It's eaier to see the gathering at the neck when you're lifting up the collar.

Dress with Waves!

Viscose fabric is a good choise for a dress with gathering. At first I stitched the shoulders- and the front panels together. Then I stitched the facing around the neck in place. This is the front- and back panels. I had to gather the front panel to fit with the upper part. Then I stitched the front panel in place, - and the side seams. At last I stitched the sleeves in place. I hand-stitched the hem and the sleeve hem. It's very comfy to wear since it's made of a light weight cotton fabric. Cotton Dress 106 | Burda Style 07/23

Dress with Flower Letters 🌺

This is a beautiful cotton fabric that I have saved for the right occasion :)   All the parts are cut out and ready for sewing. The shoulders are stitched together, and the neck-facing is stitched in place. The facing are turned inside and iron in place. Then I gathered the waist for the front and the back part,  and stitched it together with the upper part. Then the side-seams are stitched together. The short sleeves are stitched together and I have used rubber band as a finish for the sleeve hem. She love to do cartwheels :) She was very happy for the dress  😍 BurdaStyle Kids 1/24
