Halter Style Dress

Image
What is nicer than a Halter Style Dress for summer 🌸 The fabric feels like silk, so soft even though it is polyester blend. I bought the fabric for the  Sewing Bee Challenge 2017  and my plan was to use it for the bathrobe. Since I found a fabric that I like even more, this has been in my stash for a while.. I thought it would be nice for this pattern and with wiener-pleats it has to be very soft draped. It was a bit challenging to make lining for the upper part, but with some hand-stitching it went well. I didn't line the skirt, I like the flow when I'm moving and it feels very nice to the skin :)     Burdastyle pattern #101 05/2019

Blue Flowers ►

Flowers = Summer! 🌺🌻🌼 Jersey is comfy to were and love sewing with jersey! This is a pattern I wanted to try, and I found the floral jersey in my stash. Turquoise together with red is a great combination. The dress has loops and buttons in front, but it's more for decoration since I easily can take the dress over the head without opening. I have used stones as buttons which I think is very nice :) Burdastyle pattern #114 01/2019 Thanks BurdaStyle for featuring My Dress! 💙

Silk Blouse

Silk fabric is delicious to wear, but can be a challenge to sew.. Therefore I chose to use an easy pattern from BurdaStyle. I have used "french seams" for the shoulders, sides and sleeves as shown on the photo below. The fabric is rather special with the circles and different colors. I was lucky to find it on our fabric-tour with my sewing friends in Saint Petersburg.  I have hand-stitched the inner-cuffs for the sleeves and also for the hem since the fabric is so delicate 💚  Burdastyle pattern #103 03/2019

Freak Out!

Image
Sometimes it's just FUN to Freak Out!  😆   This is a crazy print fabric I found in Copenhagen. The skirt is from an earlier project. The vest is rather new and it can be turned in-side-out. The pattern is from Burda issue 04/2014. My good college Lisa is a great model for this outfit! She also join me when we are on"tour" doing catwalk with refashion in the local community😉                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                               Burdastyle pattern #125 04/2014

Orange gives Joy & Energy!

Shiny Taft fabric is great for an evening dress! It's "crunchy" and you can here it when you're walking, and it makes you feel special!🧡 The dress has pleats in front, cap-sleeves, and bubble hem.  BurdaStyle issue 08/2007

T-shirt with Tie

Image
This is an easy T-shirt to make for summer 🌞 The feather in the fabric looks like stripes and I wanted to use the "stripes" lengthwise for the tie, but since I didn't have that much fabric I had to sew together several pieces, but luckily I managed to have enough! I have used a very soft viscose jersey and it's comfy to wear. I made a double layer for the binding around the neck.  Burdastyle pattern #112 04/2019
