Ellen's Sewing Passion

At first, I wanted to make a jumpsuit, but after I cut out the pieces I decided to make a vest and pants insted, so I had to make some adjustments, espesially for the pants. I bought this fabulous linen fabric at Abby's Tekstiler I stitched the shoulderes- and side seams together, and then the facing around the neck and front parts. I used double bias of the fabric and stitched around the arm holes. I had to make a facing for the hem of the vest as well. Then I stitched the pockets in place for the pants.   I also stitched the inserts for the back panels. I made straps and double waistline for the pants. I decided to use a zipper in front instead of buttons as in the pattern. I'm very Happy how the outfit turned out ! :) I bought the lovely buttons in Tokyo when visiting Japan :) BurdaStyle #110 05/2026

 This was a great pattern that I had to try! The back-pockets has tiny pleats as decoration. The front pockets are gathered a little and has bias as picket opening. The pockets are stitched in place. The ruffles at the hem are stitched in place,  both on the front panels and on the back panels. The waist line and belt-straps are sewn, and the pants are finished :) Ottobre Kids pattern 04/2009 Girl's love sparkling fabric - and I love it too 😄 I started with sewing the pleats in front, and then stitching the upper part together with the lower part. The side seams are stitched together and the "butterfly-wings are stitched in place. I made double bias strips under neath the arm holes, and around the the neck. This is the top on the wrong side. I had to use a double layer of fabric for the upper part so it should feels comfy to wear. I have also stutched a 5mm tie on top of the gathering at the shoulders so it should stay in place. First I made a pair of  Flower pants , and since I like it so much I had to make another pair. This time I decided to use a comfy denim fabric. This is how I stitched the zipper in place. I stitched a layer back of the zipper after I took the picture. The Top with Bow  is an earlier project. The pants are very comfy to wear. I attatched a D-ring at the belt strap as in the pattern. I kept the finish of the hem with fringes. BurdaStyle #125 03/23

I just LOVE this blouse pattern and have made it over and over again! This time I have used linen with a bit stretch. I think the detail with sparkling buttons is great! It's always a challenge to make the collar and collar-stand nicely,  but I'm improving all the time.. If you like, you can see the red  Linen Blouse  I have made of the same pattern earlier. I made the Skirt for the Blouse that I'm wearing together with the pants, BurdaStyle pattern #111 02/2020 Since I had more fabric left, it was exactly enough to make a pair of pants as well. I have omitted the buttons at the pockets opening because I like them as the are. The pants are very comfy to wear with the wide legs.  I have made a pair in red  Linen  earlier. The Blouse is made of Marimekko design fabric. Pattern from Simplicity no. 32/2019
