"Ugly-bird" Dress!

Image
The kids love to wear jersey! I had a bit left of this print jersey after I made a shirt for a boy, so I couldn't let it go. I think it was nice to combine the fabric with red viscose jersey for a girl💖 At first, I stitched the top together, and then gathered the skirt for the dress.  I made bias around the neck of the same fabric. She loves the Ugly-bird fabric as well :) The dress is rather wide for the skirt, but thats nice. I didn't have to make an opening at the back since the fabric is stretchy. I found the pattern in an old Burda for Kids. This is a picture of the long sleeve shirt I made earlier.

Golf-print Dress! ⛳

I had a small piece of this nice golf-print fabric in my stash that I thought was very cute. Since her parents loves to play golf, I had to try to make a dress for their babygirl 💕 At first, I made the top and have used cottonvoile for the lining. The pint is rather nice at the back of the top as well. Then I gathered and attatched the skirt. I decided to use this cotton with fringles that matched the top. Then I hand-stitched the lining in place. She loves to get new clothes :) When you look at the tiny little persons on the fabric, it's just amazing... Since I had a bit fabric left, I had enough to make a little belt. I found the pattern in Burda Special 1997

Baby-Girls Blouse 🌱

This is a fabric that catched my eyes! I made a Square-neck Dress for myself, and since I had small pieces left,  I decided to make a little blouse for the baby-girl 🧡 I had to make a seam for the backpart since the pieces where so tiny. The shoulder- and the side seams are stitched. The short sleeves are stitched in place.   The collar and the facing are stitched, and I hand-stitched the inner-collar. I found these lovely buttons in my stash🌸 She loves to explore everywhere!

Baby's Dress & Hat!

This is a nice pattern from an old Burda Special that I have made once before , but dress pattern can be used over and over again.   This is the upper parts for the dress. I have cut out facing for the neck, and short sleeves. The shoulders and the side seams are stitched together. The facing around the neck is stitched in place. I also made a seam close to the seam line on the facing so it should stay in place. The top has two pleats at the front for the belt. The skirt are gathered at the waist to fit the top. The belt-straps are stitched in place with the pleats. The dress is finished. I only miss the buttons at the back. I found the pattern in Burda Special 1997 Since I had a bit left of the cotton that I have used for the skirt, I had enough to make a hat. There are 5 parts to be stitched together for the head. I had to iron the seams very well. The hat-brim are stitched in place. I also made a hat of linen, as lining for the hat.  This pattern is from the same magazine a...
