Ellen's Sewing Passion

This is a pattern that really catched my eye! I like to challenge myself, and the lapel collar is a bit tricky to make, but this time I'm very happy with the outcome :) I have used light weight denim with a little stretch. I started with makeing all the inserts for the upper part. Then I stitched the the front and back panels together. This is the facing for the collar. I stitched the lower part to the collar before stitching the collar together.  I have also made a "fake" pocket on the left side. Then the skirt is stitched together with the upper part.   When I saw this patter in BurdaStyle magazine March -25, I just knew that I had to make it ;)  I have used this wonderful Cotton satin - retro abstract fuchsia, that I bought at  Lysthuset.no The front panels are different. These are the back panels. The facing are hand-stitched to the inside. The upper- and lower panel are stithed together at the same time with the inserts. I stitched the zipper in place at the back before stitching the front and back panels together.   I'm very happy with the outcome💗 BurdaStyle pattern #129 03/2025

  I like my  Bat-Sleeve Blouse  very much, so I decided to make another one! All the parts are in place :) At first, I stitched the inserts at the back, and stitched the back panels together. I stitched the insert for the front panels. The shoulder- and the side seams are stitched together, and also the hem to the inside. I decided to make a double layer for the buttons in front. This is how it looks like on the wrong side. I made the collar with collar-stand, - and stitched it around the neck of the blouse, and hand-stitched the inner collar in place.   I was curious, and had to try this blouse pattern from BurdaStyle August magazine :) The sleeves are rather long becouse of the folded line. I started with sewing the inserts, both for the front- and back panels. Then I stitched the shoulder- and side seams. I made the chinese collar, - and stitched the collar to the blouse. I hand-stitched the inner-collar in place. I iron on the folded line for the sleeves, and made the tunnel for the rubberband. I had to tighten the rubber-band for my hand wrist. I'm very happy with the outcome :) BurdaStyle 08/2025
