Ellen's Sewing Passion

I had a piece left of this lovely fabric after I made the Linen Dress with Pleats ,  and it was exactly enough to make this top!  The  Linen Pants  are from an earlier project.  I started with sewing the breast inserts. Then I made a plit at the back insted of sewing a seam. I have used a double layer of fabric on bias around the neck, stitched it at the right side,  then stitced very closely to the seam, turned it inside and stitched again. The sleeves are made of a double layer, and the inner sleeve are smaller than the outer sleeve, that makes a nice balloon effect. The outer sleeve are also gathered at the hem. The sleeve is connected to the top, and I think it looks very nice. I'm using the other side of the seam-rip to make a loop for the button at the back of the top. Ta-da! Sara is wearing a top made of a combination of jersey and satin for the wide sleeves. BLUE is the color for the sky and sea! 🌊 The top has rubberband both at the shoulders and at the wrist.   The top looks nice both inside- or outside the pants. The back neck is cut streight off. I like to use leftovers if it's possible :) I wanted to make a top with gathering at the shoulders,  and have used a BurdaStyle dress pattern as a basic. The  Animal Pants  are from an earlier project,  but I thougt it could fit very well together with the top. BurdaStyle #122 05/2020

I wanted to surprice my Good Friend with a new dress since she has knitted so many beautiful sweaters to me! I have used a retro pattern from BurdaStyle that are very flattering with the Empire waistline.  The flared skirt that gived the dress a beautiful silhouette. I chose to use printed denim jersey and I think the color suits my friend very well!💙 The dress is slight gathered along the Emipire waistline seam. The romantic long sleeves are puffed at the top and become narrow above the elbows.    BurdaStyle pattern #105 03/2021

This is a Blouse I will love to wear! 💕 I decided that i wanted to try to make an Adrienne blouse with chiffon sleeves. I had to be aware of the conection with the sleeves, so I neded extra space for the sleeves since the chiffon is wowen and not stretchy like the black jersey. I bought this delicious silk chiffon in Singapore a long time ago, so I'm happy that I finally found a pattern that would be great for the project.
