Ellen's Sewing Passion

I bought this wonderful silk fabric to use as lining for a jacket,  but I thougt it was to nice to use as lining, so I have saved it for a while. When I found this blouse pattern from BurdaStyle I thought would be great to use! At first, I stitched the bust dart. The shoulders are stitched together. I used a double layer of fabric as bias around the neck. Then I gathered the shoulders and stitched the sleeves in place. Since the sleeves are wide at the hem, they are not quite long. The shoulders are gathered. I had to make a seam at the back in lack of fabric. BurdaStyle pattern #111 08/2020

I had a little fabric left after I made a blouse earlier, and it's a very nice cotton fabric. I had to cut the button list as a separate part. I also had to cut small parts, and stitch together for the collar. At first, I stitched the buttonlist at the front parts, then the shoulders- and side seams. I stitched the collar together, and stitched it in place. I top-stitched the collar and the front, and made button-holes for the butons. Patrones Extra no.36 04/2014 BurdaStyle pattern #125 05/2010

This is a fabulous jersey I came over when visiting Stoffdronning.no and I fell in love with it right away💖   I decided to try a pattern from BurdaStyle that I have saved for a while. The upper-front panel are gathered at the top.  I stitched the front- and back panels together, and the facing around the neck. Then I stitched the sleeves in place and gathered the top of the shoulders. The panels for the skirt are rather wide, but that what I like. At last, I gathered, and stitched the belt at the side- and back-seams.   I'm very Happy how the dress turned out :) BurdaStyle 05/2008 I was wearing my dress on the Jazz-Festival in my hometown 🎵🎷🪈🎺

I don't know how many times I have used this pattern, but like it a lot! The fabric I had left after making the  Dress for Holiday  was exactly enough to make this Tee. I stitched the shoulder- and the side seams. The facing is iron with vliseiline, and I have used the serger around the edges. I stitched the facing on the right side, and then I stitched very close to the seamline, so it should stay in place. Then I fold the facing to the inside. The short sleeves are very cool.  I stitched the sleeves together and turn the hem to the inside, and stitched them with the coverlock. The shoulders are gathered, and I have used a ribbon to keep the gathering in place. As a finish, I stitched around the neck. The skirt is from an earlier project . BurdaStyle pattern 03/2022
