Flower Blouse 🌸

Image
I like my  Bat-Sleeve Blouse  very much, so I decided to make another one! All the parts are in place :) At first, I stitched the inserts at the back, and stitched the back panels together. I stitched the insert for the front panels. The shoulder- and the side seams are stitched together, and also the hem to the inside. I decided to make a double layer for the buttons in front. This is how it looks like on the wrong side. I made the collar with collar-stand, - and stitched it around the neck of the blouse, and hand-stitched the inner collar in place. I'm super happy how the blouse turned out! :) BurdaStyle #111 07/2025

Blouse with Flounce sleeve!

Image
This is a delicious viscose fabric bought at  Lysthuset.no All the parts are cut, and I'm very curious how the sleeves will turn out. The front edges are turned to the inside. I stitched very narrow zig-sag for the sleeve flounce and cut away the edge. The flounce are stitched to the upper sleeve. Then the sleeve seam are stitched before attaching the cuffs. The sleeves are attatched to the blouse. I made the collar, and stitched it to the blouse. I hand-stitched the inner-seam.  Button holes to come. The blouse is finished! Dress with Stripes!

Image
I wanted to buy a fabric with stripes for this pattern,  and my choise was this viscose with cross stripes.    The top and the gathered waist are cut in the right direction of the fabric, but the skirt had to be cut on bias. Therefor the skirt is different in front and back.  I made the double gathered waist first, and stitched it at the waistline. I had to do it for the backparts as well before stitching the zipper in place. This is how the front looks like. Then I stitched the shoulders and the side seams. The short sleeves are made of double layer, so it falls very nicely. I think it will be one of my favorite dresses this summer ☼ BurdaStyle #101 02/2025
