Top with a touch of Pink!

Image
These are definitive my favorite colors🧡💗 - and together, they are just Smashing! I have used Jacquard quality wool fabric from  Janus.no The pink fabric are reversible, and this is what I had left after I made a  Jacket with Scarf . The cuffs had to be pink! I decided to try to stitch the facing on the right side. It was i bit tricky, but I managed. I iron the facing in place before stitching around it.  I also wanted to show a little bit of the orange color around the neck. The cuffs are made with double layer of fabric. The sleeves are gathered at the shoulders. The hem are stitched with the cover-machine, with a twin-needle.

Shirt for my Skirt! 💛🖤

I had a bit left of the fabric after I made my  Maxi Skirt   so I decided to make a blouse to wear together with the skirt 💛 I had to combine the leftovers with black cotton voile to have enough fabric for the blouse. It was a bit tricky to make the curved yoke at the back. The yoke at the front panels is curved as well. The shoulders and the side-seams are stitched together. The collar and the collar-stand are stitched together.   I stitched the button-stand to the front panels before I stitched the collar in place. I found some nice buttons that was perfect for the blouse :) The pattern is from Bonnie 1/96

Japanese inspired Dress 🈺

This is a pattern I have tried a while ago, but wanted to give it a new try. I love colorful fabric and found this in a local store in my home town. It's a sweatshirt fabric and I have used it together with black courtelle jersey that is quite steady. And it became my Birthday Dress!🧡 It's a crazy fabric, but that's what I like 😄 I had to cut the neck band in a double layer, and one with vliseline as well. I stitched the invisible zipper in place before I added the neck-band,  but then I had to use hooks at the top of the back neck-band.  After I stitched the neck-band in place, I could stitch the gathered front to the side panel. I'm ready for celebrating! 🎉 The sleeves are 3/4 long and a bit wide, but they are great. The dress has a split at the left side in front, and that makes it easier to move :)  I have used 2 "diamond" hooks on top of the zipper. BurdaStyle #127 09/2013

Orange & Pink 🧡💗

We need to wear colors in wintertime! This model is for knit fabric, but I chose to use double woven jersey fabric. The dress has a narrow collar and since I love to mix different colours,  I decided to use pink for the inner collar and the sleeves.   I have iron vliseline-band for the shoulders- and the neck-seam. The upper front seam are stitched together. I have also iron vliseline for the inner-collar. The skirt are cut, but I decided to finish the skirt with pink at the hem. The shoulders are stitched together, and the collar are stitched in place. I hand-stitched the inner collar in place at the back. The sleeves are stitched together. I under-stitched the collar so it will stay in place. The sleeves are stitched in place, and I have made orange sleeve bands as a finish. The skirt is rather wide, and I used an invisible rubberband at the inside  of the waistline so it should stay in place. BurdaStyle pattern #115 11/2021
