Ellen's Sewing Passion

I have made several garments with this pattern,  and I can't get enough of the square neck :) This is a Dress with exposed zipper that I made earlier.  The parts are cut, and the sleeves are 3/4 long. The shoulder-strips are folded and stitched excatly to the line  where the folding for the facing is. Both strips are stitched in place before sewing the side seams. The fabric I have used is a blend of polycotton stretcg jacquard.   I have fasten the seam for the neck-facing very nicely on the wrong side. BurdaStyle pattern #108 06/2021

  This dress is made of tweed fabric with sequins. It is perferct to use with a blouse or a top underneath, and also with a jacket if you like :) It' a good to wear this time of year and when it's cold outside.   I made a sweater of the last piece of fabric that I had left after I made  my  Reversible Wool Jacket , and I was wearing the set when I met my sisters :) Alle the parts are cut, and I decided to use the red flowers as the right side of the fabric. I stitched the double shoulders straps to the front and back part before stitching the side-seams. I hand-stitched the facing in place.  The sleeves are stitched to the top, and I prefer long sleeves for this time of year. I had to make cuff for the sleeves to make them long enough. The square neck it pritty cool! The sweater is based on BurdaStyle pattern #108 06/2021 My lovely sisters 💕

The fabric I have used is a combination of linen and cotton, and it is delicious to wear in summertime. I fell in love with it right away when I saw it in Copenhagen. The pattern is from BurdaStyle magazine for May 2024. I started with sewing the panels together for the front. - and the back panels were stitched together. The facing for the neck are stitched in place. Even though this pattern doesn't have any sleeves, I deceided that I wanted to have long sleeves. The sleeve hem is finished with a sleeve band with rubber-band. I hand stitched the hem.  It's a comfy dress and I love the colors! I like the square neck a lot. I made gathering at the shoulders. I think this will be one of my favorite dresses this summer! I found the beautiful fabric in Copenhagen,  and it's a combination of linen and viscose. I have made Another Dress of the same pattern ealier. The front part is sewn together with the front side parts. I had to stitch the belt together first, and then fasten it at the back part. Then I stitched the back-side parts together with the middle part. The sleeves are finished with cuffs and rubber-band at the end. I'm very happy with the outcome😊 The dress is gathered at the shoulders and at the back side-parts. BurdaStyle pattern #107 05/2021
