Linen Jacket!

Image
I'm often curious to try a new pattern, and this is one I had to try. I foumd the jacket pattern in BurdaStyle 04/23. I decided to make the jacket in linen, but if I should make it over again  I would like to have a bit softer fabric like Punto jersey.  The Dress is from an earlier project. All the parts are cut and ready to be sewn. I have stitched the side seams and the collar and the facing. I have used "fish sleeve" at the shoulders, - and I have used shoulder-pads as well. I have used polyester satin for the short lining. For me, it was a new way of sewing it :) The lining for the sleeves are attached. The jacket should mostly be worn opened,  but I made a hook-fastener so I can close it if I like. - and the jacket is finished! BurdaStyle pattern #113 04/2023

Top with gathered neck-band!

After I made my Maxi Dress for a wedding , I had a bit left of this beautiful fabric 💕 I couldn't let it go, sÃ¥ I decided to make a top. I have used the pattern earlier when I made a  Blue-Flower Top .  The neckband is made of three layers, and gathered on the upper part  and stitched on top of the front neck-band.  Then the neck-band are stitched to the front- and the backpart. I have combined the front part with satin fabric. The shoulders and the side seams are stitched together. The facing for the neck-band are stitched in place. I have used three times rubber-band as a finish for the short sleeves. - and the top is finished! BurdaStyle pattern #108 02/2018

This dress is made of tweed fabric with sequins. It is perferct to use with a blouse or a top underneath, and also with a jacket if you like :) It' a good to wear this time of year and when it's cold outside. I have combined these two patterns: 2010_Burda easy fashion # 6C 02.2010 2008 #106 Burda 09.2008

Crossing back Dress!

I'm always curious how the dress pattern will turn out in real.. I chose to use linen fabric because it's rather stady. I stitched the single welt pockets to the front panel. Then I stitched the side panels at front. I have used an exposed zipper at the back. The waist band are stitched at the back panels. Then I stitched the back side panels before I stitched the side seams together. I made button holes at the back panels, and sew the buttons in place. I like the side pockets. This is how the dress looks on at the back,  but I think I prefer to use a jacket or a blouse underneath. The Yellow Jacket  is an earlier project 💛 I decided to hand-stitch the hem. Blouse with Fluffy Sleeves!

Image
I was visiting a new fabric shop in Copenhagen, and I couldn't leave without nothing...😄 I found this wonderful cotton voile, and I decided to make a blouse for our lovely daughter in law💕 I think she looks amazing in her new blouse!   This is a pattern I have saved for the right fabric.  The sleeves is very wide!  At first, I had to make neck-band, and then I stitched the facing around the neck and the split.  I stitched very close to the seam, and iron the facing inside. The hem of the sleeve is turned inside and  zig-zag very narrow and cut close to the seam afterwords. I used thin rubberband as under-thread and made the cuffs.  The sleeves are stitched in place, and the blouse is finished You can choose if you wanna have the lace open or knotted. The sleeve cuffs are very neath. BurdaStyle pattern 02/22
