Hats for Wintertime 🎩

Image
I have always thought about making a hat ;) I found some wool fabric in my stash that was perfect for the project. The hat is made of a circle, two parts to connect with the circle,  and two layers as a finish around the hat. This is how it looks like without the hat brim. I have used wool without stretch, and I have to iron the seam veryt well. The hat brim has to be stitched together with the upper part.   My son wanted to try a hat as well :) This hat is made of knitted wool fabric that's make it a bit looser. I have used cotton voile as lining for both of the hats. Pattern is from Stoff & Stil

Yellow Sunshine Coat 🌞

This is a nice wool fabric bought at  Tekstil.no  and I love the sunshine yellow color 💛 I decided to make a coat and found a pattern I have saved for a long time. All the pieces are cut and ready to be sewn. I stitched the panels together and top-stitched the seams as well. I made the pockets at the front seams. The collar is stitcket together,  - and the facing as well. The sleeves are stitched togethet and top-stitched. I chose to use cotton fabric as lining, but I have used micro satin as lining for the sleeves. I made shoulder-pads and also "fish-sleeve" for the shoulders. The lining is ready to be stitched in place. I'm very Happy with the coat and how it turned out :) The  two-piece-dress-look  is an earlier project I made for a BurdaStyle Challenge. I have omitted the belt at the side. Burdastyle pattern

Winter Jacket ⛄

This is an amazing fabric that catched my eyes!👁‍🗨 It's fabulous with all the colorful treads and will suit everything! I have combine it with faux leather for the collar, pockets and the sleeve hem. I have used the same pattern as for the  Plaid Wool Jacket  and it's a great pattern from BurdaStyle. The only changes I have done is to make the upper part squared instead of curved. Since the wool fabric is heavy I have used snap-buttons and large buttons as decoration. This is the fabric I had left after I made a  Waistcoat  earlier. I wanted to use a pop-up color for the lining, and ended up with this green one💚 As you may see I cut the curve for the front part at first, but then I change my mind,  and cut it squared instead. The upper part of the collar is in faux leather and the same for the pockets.  I really love this lining. I also used the same lining for the pocets. I like the buttons very much, though it's just for decoration since I have ...
