Coat for Autumn!

Image
This pattern was a great challenge! I have used heavy linen that I like a lot,  and polyester satin, that I bought in Amsterdam, as lining. At first, I made the inserted pocket.  I used the same lining for the pockets. I stitched a seam close to the seamline. The front side panels are stitched in place. The back-panels are stitched together. The shoulder, and the side-seams are stitched. The collar-stand and the collar are stitched in place. The sleeves had to be made. I have used sleeve-fish and shoulder-pads for the shoulders. I wanted a nice and cheering-up lining :) The sleeves are stitched together. I stitched the lining in place, and I have an opening in one of the side-seams  for turning the jacket afterwords. I found these fabulous buttons in my stash! I have used snap-buttons under neath. The sleeve has a split and a button as decoration. The inserted pocket is very nice. BurdaStyle special 5/2013

Girl's Blouse 💙

This girl loves to get new clothes!👚👗👖🩳 She has picked out the fabric and colour for her blouse. She wanted a yellow blouse, but since she got  The Yellow Dress  I didn't have more fabric left. At first, I made the ribbon for the neck, and turned it. Then I made the split in front before stitching the facing in place. I had to stitch the sleeves in place before sewing the tunel for the draw-string around the neck. I have also stitched the hem and the sleeve hem with narrow zig-sag stitches.  I stitched the side seam and the sleeves togeether. I had to make a tunel for the rubber-band at the sleeve hem and at the hem. I connected the ribbon to the rubber-band for the neck. She loves the sleeves 💙 BurdaStyle Special 2003

Flowery Dress 🌸🌸🌸

This dress is made of the same pattern as I used for  my  Dress made of Scarf , and I really like this style! I think this will be one of my favorite dresses! I started with making the skirt for the dress. This is without any zipper. I stitched the collar for the top of the dress. I cut a lot of notches around the curve, and then I hand-stitch the inner collar in place.   The top just need to have button-holes for cloing. The button hole is made and the buttons are in place.  I made the slits for the sleeves. I made the cuffs with the flounces. The cuffs are hand-stitched in place on the inside. The cuffs have two buttons for closing. This is my new name-tag :) The dress is finished - and I'm very happt with it ! The dress is rather wide at the waist, so it's easy to take it on and off. I have also used a belt at the waist to cheer it up :) Patrones pattern
