Colors makes me Happy! 😄

This is a fabulous jersey I came over when visiting Stoffdronning.no and I fell in love with it right away💖   I decided to try a pattern from BurdaStyle that I have saved for a while. The upper-front panel are gathered at the top.  I stitched the front- and back panels together, and the facing around the neck. Then I stitched the sleeves in place and gathered the top of the shoulders. The panels for the skirt are rather wide, but that what I like. At last, I gathered, and stitched the belt at the side- and back-seams.   I'm very Happy how the dress turned out :) BurdaStyle 05/2008 I was wearing my dress on the Jazz-Festival in my hometown 🎵🎷🪈🎺

Pink for Holiday! 💗

I bought this delicious fabric at  Lysthuset.no It's a combination of viscose and linen, and it's very soft to wear :)   I had to try this pattern from BurdaStyle 07/23 I started with sewing the shoulders together. Then I stitched the facing in place. I also stitched a seam close to the seam line. I put the dress on the floor to show how wide the skirt is. The invisble zipper is stitched at the back of the dress. BurdaStyle #120 07/2023 I got this beautiful knitted jacket from my sister in law for my birthday💕

Dress with Waves!

Viscose fabric is a good choise for a dress with gathering. At first I stitched the shoulders- and the front panels together. Then I stitched the facing around the neck in place. This is the front- and back panels. I had to gather the front panel to fit with the upper part. Then I stitched the front panel in place, - and the side seams. At last I stitched the sleeves in place. I hand-stitched the hem and the sleeve hem. It's very comfy to wear since it's made of a light weight cotton fabric. Cotton Dress 106 | Burda Style 07/23

Maxi Dress!

Image
What more can I wish then a comfy maxi dress for summer ☼ I have used jersey, and that makes it very easy to wear :) I have cut the upper front- and back parts.  I have used vliseline for the facing. The facing are sewn around the neck,  and I have stitched very close to the seam so it will stay in place. The upper part is connected to the skirt. The dress is finished. Pattern is from a norwegian sewing magazine.
