Knitted Fabric Sweater!

Image
This is a knitted fabric I found in my stash. I have made a dress of the same fabric earlier. I had exactly enough fabric to make a sweater  when I turned the sleeves in the other direction :) I did iron vliseline on the shoulders at the back.  Instead of making tunnels for the rubberband, I stitched it directly on the marked line.  I did the same for the sleeves. I thought the edge of the fabric was very nice, so I attached that for the sleeve hem. I stitched a layer of fabric at the hem and turned it to the outside, therefore it looks a bit cozy. The sleeves looks very nice with the rubberband. I like the turtle-neck, but it must not be to narrow..  BurdaStyle #127 08/2025

Delicious fabric Sweater!

Image
This is a great pattern from BurdaStyle 10/2015 that I have tried twice before,  and I thought this fabric would be great for another sweater like this. The neck is rather long, but it's going to be close to a double layer. Since the fabric was very delicate, I have to use fastening tape for all the seams. This pictures shows the neck before I have folded it in. BurdaStyle #108 10/2015

Hats for Wintertime 🎩

Image
I have always thought about making a hat ;) I found some wool fabric in my stash that was perfect for the project. The hat is made of a circle, two parts to connect with the circle,  and two layers as a finish around the hat. This is how it looks like without the hat brim. I have used wool without stretch, and I have to iron the seam veryt well. The hat brim has to be stitched together with the upper part.   My son wanted to try a hat as well :) This hat is made of knitted wool fabric that's make it a bit looser. I have used cotton voile as lining for both of the hats. Pattern is from Stoff & Stil

Knitted fabric Dress! 💖

My lovely sewing friend Monica Cecile 🤩 She is making fabulous clothing for her self as well. We met at the Norwegian Sewing Bee a few years ago. The dress suits her much better than me 😉 I have used knitted cotton fabric that are double woven, so it's a bit heavy, but perfect for autumn and winter! The collare is made of double layer, but then it will for sure stay in place. My other sewing friend Trudie   from The Netherlands together with Monica.  The dress can be used with a closed-collar or lay down as you prefer. BurdaStyle 01/2021 Good Friends 💖
