Ellen's Sewing Passion

I bought this sparkling jersey in Copenhagen! I thought it would be a great choice for a young girl. I had to stitch the sides together before the hem. I have used vliseline for the facing. The hem for the cap-sleeves are stitched as well. I stitched the seam at the front, and stitched the edges to each side for the draw-string. Then I stithced the facing in place, and top-stitched around the square neck before stitching the cap-sleeves in place. She loves jumping on the trampoline :) BurdaStyle #125 05/2024

  My granddaughter was very happy when she could choose the fabric for her outfit  - and of course it had to be a sparkling fabric! 💙 She wanted me to make a bolero jacket with bell-cuffs as a finich for the sleeves. I had to make some small pleats for the curves around the hem. The sleeves are ready to be stitched together with the body. Burda Kids Fasion 01/2022 She loves dancing and to turning around, so the skirt had to be rather wide. This is a cute top I made for our granddaughter. She chose the fabric in my stash,  but since I didn't have that much, I combined it with a grey sparkling jersey. I like to use all the leftovers I have left after different projects,  and it's usually great to make a top or T-shirt. This top is gathered both at the front- and the backpart, and at the shoulders as well. That's what the girl like ♥ I have used the same pattern as I did for  this Top from a Norwegian sewing magazine. 

Our granddaughter loves to dance and swirling around 😄 I bought these lovely fabric on my holiday in Tenerife, and I knew that our granddaughter would love the colours.  I have made one  Bodysuit  earlier for her. The bodysuit has rubber band around the neck and the legs. You can see the fabric is rather shiny. She had to try the outfit at once :) I made my own patter for a circle skirt. I was lucky and had exactly enough fabric to make a little shorts as well. BurdaStyle pattern #130 08/2020 I made the pink bodysuit for my friend's daughter.  - and also a skirt to match with the bodysuit.

The girl knows what she like! She was happy that she could choose fabric from the web, and tell her gandma' what she want! Of course it has to be a sparkling fabric✨  I made a  Velvet Dress  with bows of the same pattern earlier. The upper part are gathered at the seam in front. I have used the same fabric on the wrong side for the bias around the neck. The long sleeves are gathered at the lower seam as well.   I have used invisible rubber-band at the waist line to gather the skirt.   Then the bows are made. I have hand stitched the bows in place and used sparling stones  in the middle of the bow as decoration.  Ottobe kids pattern 06/2012

  This girls knows what she like 😍 She was allow to pick out fabric from my stash that she would like me to make something for her, and everything that is sparkling she picked! I made a black jersey top with another layer of the sparkling fabric  on top og this since this was a little transparent. I have used a double layer of fabric as finish around the neck and the shot sleeves. I have made a Top  of the same pattern befoer, and it's very easy to make. I have used a ribbon with silver as finish for the hem. BurdaStyle Kids Fashion 01/2022. Since I had a bit left of the green sparkling fabric, I decided to make a skirt as well. The skirt has a double layer of fabric as well. The outfit is finished and ready for a party🎉 BurdaStyle pattern.
