Boy's Colorful Tee!

Image
Since we were going on holiday together with our son's family I decided to make some Tee's for the boys :) This fabric is just amazing - and I think it's very cool! The short sleeves. I stitched the shoulder- and the side seams, and then the short sleeves toghether. I found a turquoise ribbet fabric for the neckband. I have used Ottobre Kids pattern.

Dress with Ruffles & Scissors!

Image
I showed my granddaughter two different fabric, and asked if she want to have a dress  of this or a plain blue linen fabric, and she chose the one with the scissors. I made the slits in the middle and stitched the side seams. The sleeves where stitched together, and then stitched to the top. The neck where gathering and I have used the same fabric on bias around the neck. The sleeves have rubber-band at the hem. The skirt is made of two gathered ruffles. She was very happy when she got the dress, and was wearing it on our holiday ☼ I have used 2 buttons as decoration, and a hook for the opening of the slit. Ottobre Kids fashion 3/2023

"Ugly-bird" Dress!

Image
The kids love to wear jersey! I had a bit left of this print jersey after I made a shirt for a boy, so I couldn't let it go. I think it was nice to combine the fabric with red viscose jersey for a girl💖 At first, I stitched the top together, and then gathered the skirt for the dress.  I made bias around the neck of the same fabric. She loves the Ugly-bird fabric as well :) The dress is rather wide for the skirt, but thats nice. I didn't have to make an opening at the back since the fabric is stretchy. I found the pattern in an old Burda for Kids. This is a picture of the long sleeve shirt I made earlier.

Japanese Handbag to match my Skirt!

Image
I wanted to make a handbag to match my  Crazy Skirt  since I  had more fabric left :) I have combined the cotton twill fabric with fake leather. The pattern is rather easy if you understand it :) I have used quilted fabric so the handbag should be a bit steady. The upper parts have a double layer of fabric. I have used magnetic push button as opening. The flap with the magnetic push button is stitched in place. This is how it looks like. The inside pocket is made of double layer of fabric. The pocket is stitched in place. The lining for the bag is stitched together at the opening. I have used embroidered cotton fabric for the lining for the handbag. This is how it looks like inside. I'm looking forward to use my new handbag :) The pattern is from a book I bought in Japan. This is a photo from my trip to Bangkok.

Blouse with Ruffled Neck!

Image
This is a blouse pattern from BurdaStyle 03/20 that I like. I made one for my friend as well. This time I made an alternation fo the short sleeves.  I found this lovely silk fabric on my holiday in Lithuania last summer ☼. I have used cotton voile for the lining. The sleeves are made of two layers and have two darts at the top of the shoulders, and these are stitched 4cm down. I have stitched the lining to the hem of the sleeve. The neck band are ruffled and stitched to the upper layer around the neck. Then I have to stitch the facing around the neck and the short sleeves in place. The blouse looks great together with a pair of black pant or a black pencil skirt. I fell in love with this fabric because of the print :) BurdaStyle #103 03/2020
