Ellen's Sewing Passion

Since we were going on holiday together with our son's family I decided to make some Tee's for the boys :) This fabric is just amazing - and I think it's very cool! The short sleeves. I stitched the shoulder- and the side seams, and then the short sleeves toghether. I found a turquoise ribbet fabric for the neckband. I have used Ottobre Kids pattern.

I'm happy if I can make something of the left overs, and a shirt is very easy to make. I had just a bit left after I made the Sweatshirt Jacket, so I had to combine it with another jersey fabric. I had to make a seam at the back. I made different short sleeves. The back is the same jersey as I have used for the shorts. The pocket is stitched right on at the front.  The shorts have a back-pocket as well. BurdaStyle Kids 03/2023

I wanted to surprice our little granddaughter with this cute suspender shorts.    All the pieces are cut in a nice cotton fabric bought at Stoffdronning.no ,  and the lining for the upper part is cut in cotton voile.  This was the fabric I had left after I made my Dress . I made the pocket for the upper part, and the back pockets are stitched in place. The legs are stitched together, and the hem are folded. I made the flounces for the suspenders, and stitched the upper part in place. The suspenders are fasten with a button on the inside of the back. BurdaStyle 05/2018

Boys love to wear sweatshirt jackets, and I found this great fabric in  a local shop in my hometown, Haugesund. I started with the front pockets. I stitched both, the hoodie,sleeves and waistband, Before I stitched the front zipper in place. He likes to show his tricks on the trampoline. BurdaStyle 03/2023

  This is a nice pattern I found in Ottobre Kids. Everyone loves Willie-the-Pooh, and I think the fabric is really cute. My granddaughter was very happy when she got the dress and wanted to wear it right away😍 This is all the pattern piece. I made the pockets and use a template for iron the curved edge. The collar has piping around the outer edges. At first, the pockets is gathered and then I have stitched them to the front panel. I also made a piping around the button-piece, but this is just for decoration. The back has a invisible zipper, and piping  I decided to make short sleeves since it's nice in the summertime :) The found some nice bear-buttons to use as decoration for the fake button-list.
