Ellen's Sewing Passion

  Since I had more left of this wonderful jersey after I made the Tee with Butterflies , I had enough fabric to make a top for our little granddaughter. At first, I gathered the flounce, - and stitched it together with the upper part. I stitched the hem for the sleeve flounces, and stitched it to the top. Then I made the neck-band and stitched the hem to the inside. Our granddaughter love to wear the top 💞 BurdaStyle Kids 01/2024

I made a dress for this little cutie 💖 I bought the fabric from a FB friend, and I thought it would be nice if I could manage  to squese out a little dress since I just had a little piece of the fabric. The dress has gathered short sleeve-wings. I have used a narrow zig-sag for the hem of the sleeve-wings. I stitched on top of the seam so the sleeve-wings should stay in place. I made a button-stip of another cotton fabric at the back of the dress, so it should be easy to take off an on. The fabric looks very cool with the farming place. She loves dresses like her grandmother :) I found some nice star-buttons that was great for the dress. The dress is based on a pattern i found in an old Burda Special 08/95, and I made my own alternation.

I found this fabulous fabric when I visited Tallinn this summer  and I thought it would be nice for a girl's dress.  I have made a  Dress with butterfly-wings  of the same pattern earlier,  but she has been growing so quickly that I had to make a new one :) I started to make the split at the back part. Then I made the flounces for the sleeves, and the tie band. I stitched the side seams and made the flounce for the hem. Then I stitched the bias around the neck and turned it inside. She was very happy with the dress 💙 Burda Easy Kids 01/2022

I made this blouse of leftovers from the  Wide Flower Dress  that I made earlier. It's a very cute pattern for a girl. I have made  Another Dress  for the sweet girl of the same pattern once before. The blouse has a split at the back of the neck. This is one of the sleeve flounces before it's gathering. I have stitched the hem of the flounce before sewing it together. The upper part is connected to the lower part. - and the blouse is finished.   BurdaStyle Kids 1/2022
