Linen fabric is perfect for making pants and vest :) I have used linen with heavy structure, and the garment keeps the shape.  I had to cut all the parts, so I was sure to have enough fabric. The front and back panels are stitched together. I made facing around the front edge and also for the hem of the vest. I have used double layer of soft cotton around the arm holes, and top-stitched. I made button holes and stitched the buttons in place. I also top-stitched around the neck, front-line and hem. I have used Marfy pattern #3247 It's nearly the same as BurdaStyle pattern #120 11/25 As you can see, the pants are very wide, but that's what I like :) I made different pockets for the pants, and therefore I had to change  the pleats in another direction than it shows in the instruction. I tried to show how wide the legs are.. I'm very happy with the result :) BurdaStyle 04/2015 I was wearing my new outfit at "Sildajazz" in my home town Haugesund, together with my lovel...

I bought this nice Linen/Viscose fabric at  Abby's Tekstiler I wanted to make something nice and found a pattern in a Miss B magazine from 2/94 :) I have used the same pattern once before when I made a  Short Vest with Printed letters I had 2 meter of the fabric, and had to squeeze it to get enough since the vest is rather long.  I stitched the inserts for the back panels,  and stitched the back seam together, and the upper back panel in place. I made the pockets and iron vliseline for the top that is folded. The pockets are stitched in place. The collar is stitched to the vest, and then the facing to the collar and the sides. I stitched a seam around the collar and the sides. I also stitched the hem and the slits to the inside.   Miss B (today it's called BurdaStyle Easy Fashion)

  Since I had a bit fabric left after I made my  Linen Coat I had exactly enough to make a vest. The pattern is one that I have saved for a long time.. Linen fabric is perfect for any pattern, and it's nice to wear. I have used a double layer around the arm holes, and turned it to inside. The vest is finished, only the buttons are missing. The vest was a great match for my  Pants with Slits Miss B - young fashion from Burda. 

  Fabric with printed letter is one of my special favorite! I had some fabric left after I made a  Summer Dress ,  and it was enough to make a vest :) I have stitched the back-yok to the lower part, and stitched the darts as well. The collar is stitched together. I iron vliseline on the wrong side of the facing,  The shulder- and side seams are stitched together. The collar is stitched in place. The seam allowance for the upper collar and neck is iron to the inside  and the other seam allowance are stitched together. The lapel collar are finished.  At first, I stitched a double layer of fabric on the right side around the arm holes, then I stitched close to the seam, and turn it inside and stitched around the arm holes. I found some nice buttons in Copenhagen :) Miss B 02/1994
