Ellen's Sewing Passion

This fabric is just fabulous! 💥 I had only a little bit left after I made the  House Party Dress For the dress I combined the fabric with faux leather at the sides,  but for the jacket I have used black jersey denim that I like very much. It also makes the jacket comfortable to wear. The cuffs for the sleeves are made of a double layer of fabric and  I have used silver piping as decoration. This is a very nice pattern and I have made a Peplum Jacket   once before that I like very much.    I had exactly enough fabric to make the front and back parts. This is a soft denim jersey, and I have used it for the sleeves, collar and the peplum. Pattern is from Burda Easy 02/2017

This jacket makes me in a good mood 😄 I have used Spiral Origami on the right side and combined it  with a printet Chinese Girl on the left side. The zipper is very special with all the rainbow colours. I have used black linen for the sleeves and the peplum at the waist. This is how I start with the origami pattern. The pattern is finished. When the pattern is folded on the right side, and the wrong side. After the folding it's ready to sew together. Then the right side is finished. Since I had this nice cotton fabric in my stash, I thouht it would be great together with the origami. I have finished the front part with a zipper and the back parts are sewn together. This is the muslin I made before I was going to make my  Birthday Dress   I have used linen fabric so it was easy to iron the folds, but it was a bit soft so I had to stitch the folds in place. I couldn't leave the muslin and decided to make a top with peplum. Then I can use the top together with my fancy pants!
