Ellen's Sewing Passion

I wanted to make a blazer for our son.  I asked him if he like this canvas linen, and he said: "Oh, that's cool!" I found the fabric at  rainbowfashion.no I have cut all the fabric pieces. The welt pocket is sewn in place. I have made outside pockets, but it's not so easy to see. I have used both "sleeve fish" and shoulder pads for the shoulders. The lining is made of cotton, I have only used micro satin for the sleeves. I have used vliseline for both collar pieces to make it stable. On the Catwalk! My second youngest son got the jacket I made in the second episode of the Sewing Bee for Christmas. Since it was a summery jacket he was looking forward to wear it! 😄 This was suppose to be a Canvas Jacket made of linen or cotton fabric. I chose linen combined with brocade, but it wasn't canvas! 😂 Anyway, the jacket turned out very well and my son are Happy with it!   We had only 4 hours 30 minutes for making this jacket,  so I can tell it was hard to finish it within the time limit!
