Ellen's Sewing Passion

This is a great pattern from BurdaStyle 10/2015 that I have tried twice before,  and I thought this fabric would be great for another sweater like this. The neck is rather long, but it's going to be close to a double layer. Since the fabric was very delicate, I have to use fastening tape for all the seams. I bought a wonderful cotton fabric at  Stoffdronning.no and I thought it would be nice to make a blouse.   I have cut all the parts, and I have to tell that I especially like  the hi-low hem for the blouse, and here is another version :) I stitched the yok and the shoulder seams,  - then the hem and the side seams. I made the sleeves,  and added the cuffs for the sleeves. Then I stitched the collar and collar-stand together, and stitched it around the neck. The sleeves where stitched into the arm-holes. I found some red buttons to match the blouse. BurdaStyle #111 02/2020

I found a nice wool jersey in my stash,  and I thought it would be great to make a sweater!  It became a christmas present for a lovely girl 💕 I wanted to make the sweater with hi-low hem,  and I also made the same curves for the front and back panel. The sleeves have to panels with a seam from the shoulder.   I have top-stitched the seam on both sides since the fabric is rather heavy. - and for the back panels as well. I have used wowen wool band around the neck, - and as a finish for the sleeve hem, - and for the low-hi hem as well. It's a wery delisious and warm wool sweater to wear :) BurdaStyle #106 01/2015

I love this pattern and it's always nice to try it in another fabric. I bought this nice wool-blend in Prague when visiting this summer. It's very soft and delicious to wear. Here is an earlier blouse I made  with hi-low hem .  I cut all the parts except from the sleeves that are going to be in black transparent fabric. I used microsatin for the facing of the upper-backpanel. I hand-stitched the collar-stand in place instead of top-stitching with the sewing machine. Since the hem are curvy I stitched it in place before sewing the side seams. I really love these buttons :) BurdsStyle #111 02/2020
