  I wanted to make a new dress for my nephew's wedding 💖 I was lucky to find this beautiful silk blend in a local shop in Haugesund. I choose to use the same pattern as for the  Maxi Dress  I made earlier, BurdaStyle pattern #121 06/2019 that I love very much! I started with gathering the bust-pieces to fit the under layer. Then the layers are stitched together, and the draping are in place. I stitched the side seams,  and stitched the lining for the upper-part in place. The shoulders are stitched together, and also the front. The square short sleeves are overlocked and stitched to the inside all around, except for the part that are stitched to the dress. The upper part is finished, and the skirt is stitched to the top. I hand-stitched the lining to the inside of the waist.   The zipper is stitched at last.  I measured the circle of the skirt, and it was 425cm! I fell in love with this beautiful fabric! I wanted to make a maxi dress to wear for a wedding. This is a pattern I have saved for the right fabric, so I hope I will be happy with the dress :)   All the parts are cut, and I'm excited how I will manage to stitch them together. The front part was a bit tricy, but I think I managed. The pleats for the waist are folded in place, and stitched to the waist of the dress. I had to sew the zipper in place very precisely to match the middle at the back.   This is a smart way to shorten the zipper.  The side seams are stitched toghether. The facing is stitched around the neck. I decided to omit the long sleeves, and I had to make facing for the armholes as well.  I think this will be one of my Favorite dresses! This is a pattern I have tried once before , and I love the style,  so I decided to make a new dress for a wedding. The dress code for the wedding was Colorful and Bold, so I found this wonderful fabric in a local shop in Stavanger.   I started with the front panel. They are going to overlap at the middle. I have gathered the panels at the shoulders and under the bust-parts. I have to cut the lining and I have used cotton voile that is very soft. I have used stabilizer-vliseline around the neck and arm-holes. The shoulder- and the side seams are sewn,  and the lining are stitched to the upper front and back part. The sleeves that are squared are attatched before stitching the front parts together. Then I attached the waistline around the uppe-part. Then I attatched the skirt to the dress.
