Since I had more African cotton fabric left I could made another top for my skirt :) The top has pleated front I stitched the front and back panels together. I wanted to use the fabric stripes as sleeve-cap.  I found out that I had to make a split in the sides for the cap-sleeve. I stitched theese small parts on each side of the front- and back panels. Then I turned them to the wrong side, and stitched the cap-sleeve in place. - and the top is finished! I'm very happy with my new top,  and it's great to wear toghether with white pants as well :) I have used buttons at the back. This is how the top looks like together with the skirt. I have used this pattern from BurdaStyle  #130 12/2013 as basic for the top.

I came across this nice pattern in BurdaStyle 01/2010, and wanted to give it a try! I cut all the parts, and made vliseline on the facing. The right upper front is gathered at the side. I stitched the panels together after I had stitched the zipper at the back. Then I added the cap-sleeves. I have used melange jersey, the same as I used for my  Darted dress . BurdaStyle 01/2010

This is a pattern I wanted to make, but not found the right time until now.   I have used double woven jersey. I started sewing the front part from the top. I stitched the skirt together with the upperpart. I used inserts around the neck and sleve holes. This is how the dress looks like on the wrong side of the back part.  The cap-sleeves are stitched in place. The dress is without zipper, so I couldn't put it on my "Primadonna" :) BurdaStyle #122 09/2010

This is a birthday present for a sweet girl. She loves to wear short tops like the young girls do. This is leftovers from a dress I made earlier, and it was exactly enough to make this top. At firsst I stitched the side seams, and then the hem before the front parts  are stitched together. Then I stitched a seam close to the edges.   The hem for the short cap-sleeves are stitched.  I made the draw-string for the front parts. I made the facing for the front- and back parts that I have iron with vliseline. The facing are stitched in place. - And at last the cap-sleeves. I had to finish wiht a bias at the lower armholes.
