Jacket with Printet Letters!

Image
This is a Great pattern from BurdaStyle Februar issue that I wanted to try! I love fabric with printed letters ♥ I have cut both the cotton fabric and lining. First, I stitched the front and the side-front together.  I made the parts for the welt pocket with flaps.   This is my first time trying to make a welt pocket with flap! It's not so easy to see the pockets since the fabric has printed letters. I stitched the collar and the collar-stand together. I also top-stitched both side of the seam. The collar is stitched in place. I stitched the facing for the front parts and around the neck. Then I stitched the sleeves in place. I made "fish-sleeve" for the shoulders. Then I stitched the lining together. I bought some nice buttons at  Selfmade.no The sleeves has buttons as well :) BurdaStyle #120 02/2025

Linen Jacket!

I'm often curious to try a new pattern, and this is one I had to try. I foumd the jacket pattern in BurdaStyle 04/23. I decided to make the jacket in linen, but if I should make it over again  I would like to have a bit softer fabric like Punto jersey.  The Dress is from an earlier project. All the parts are cut and ready to be sewn. I have stitched the side seams and the collar and the facing. I have used "fish sleeve" at the shoulders, - and I have used shoulder-pads as well. I have used polyester satin for the short lining. For me, it was a new way of sewing it :) The lining for the sleeves are attached. The jacket should mostly be worn opened,  but I made a hook-fastener so I can close it if I like. - and the jacket is finished! BurdaStyle pattern #113 04/2023

Japanese Striped Jacket !

I bought a Japanese pattern book when I visited Japan last time, but unfortunately it has not been used until now because I thought it looked very difficult. At first, it was hard to find the right lines when I was trying to draw the pattern, but all of a sudden I managed, so I decided to try this jacket pattern.    I started with stitching the front parts together. The back is gathered at the lower mid-part. I made the pockets with lining. - and the pockets are stitched to the front parts. The front and back part are stitched together. I made a lining for the jacket. This is the most difficult part, to stitch the collar together. I also decided to stitch a ribbon arond the collar and the sleeves. I'm sure this will be one of my favorite jackets :) At the end, I stitched a ribbon at the hem as well, like the japanese pattern. I had to cut away the seam allowance before stitching ribbon around the collar.   I found this nice buttons in my stash that I thought was perf...
