Maxi Dress - Vest!

Image
I bought this nice Linen/Viscose fabric at  Abby's Tekstiler I wanted to make something nice and found a pattern in a Miss B magazine from 2/94 :) I have used the same pattern once before when I made a  Short Vest with Printed letters I had 2 meter of the fabric, and had to squeeze it to get enough since the vest is rather long.  I stitched the inserts for the back panels,  and stitched the back seam together, and the upper back panel in place. I made the pockets and iron vliseline for the top that is folded. The pockets are stitched in place. The collar is stitched to the vest, and then the facing to the collar and the sides. I stitched a seam around the collar and the sides. I also stitched the hem and the slits to the inside.   Miss B (today it's called BurdaStyle Easy Fashion)

Colorful Dress for a Sweetie!

Our sweet granddauhter loves getting new clothes, espesially dresses💝  I found this fabulous cotton fabric in my stash that I bought to make lining for a coat :)  I started with the upper part and made the collar. I made the skirt and the sleeves, and bought some nice pink buttons. She was so trilled when she got the dress and swirled around😄 BurdaStyle Kids 1/2024

Stripes on bias!

Stripes could be a challenge for sewing a dress,  but since these stripes are diagonal it was no problem to match. I bought this lovely cotton fabric at  Stoffdronning.no The dress has buttonlist at the front. The flounce is very long, and it is pleated instead of gathered. The side seams are stitched,  - and then the pleated flounce. I made the collar for the dress. I change the cap-sleeves with a little bit longer sleeves  that are gathered at the shoulders. At the end, I stitched the channel for the waistband in place. BurdaStyle 03/2007

Button-Up Dress!

Image
I bought this beautiful pastel fabric at  Rainbowfashion.no . It's a kind of linen blend. I thought it would be nice to make this button-up dress from BurdaStyle 03/2025.    I cut all the parts, and the sleeves are very wide wiht pleats at the shoulder. I made the upper part with the bust inserts. Then I stitched the skirt together with the top. I made the tunnel for the rubberband at the waist,  and also the rouleau for the button list. I stitched the facing around the neck and the button opening. The sleeves are pleated and then gathered at the shoulders,  - and rubberband at the sleeve hem. I hand-stitched the hem.
