Dress with Ruffles & Scissors!

Image
I showed my granddaughter two different fabric, and asked if she want to have a dress  of this or a plain blue linen fabric, and she chose the one with the scissors. I made the slits in the middle and stitched the side seams. The sleeves where stitched together, and then stitched to the top. The neck where gathering and I have used the same fabric on bias around the neck. The sleeves have rubber-band at the hem. The skirt is made of two gathered ruffles. She was very happy when she got the dress, and was wearing it on our holiday ☼ I have used 2 buttons as decoration, and a hook for the opening of the slit. Ottobre Kids fashion 3/2023

Baby's Flower Dress 🌺 & Pants with pockets!

I made this cute dress for a baby-gril's 1-year birtday ❤️ I was lucky to have enough fabric left after I made the  Dress with Pleated Sleeves . I stitched the side seams and the gathered flounse at the hem. The sleeves has rubberband as a finish. The sleeves are stitched in place. The flounce is stitched to the neck, and I made a tunnel for the rubber-band. Ottobre Kids pattern 01/2024 Since I had a bit left of this soft jersy fabric,  it was enough to make a pair of pants for the little girl as well :) At first, I made the front pockets. The side seam are stitched together. The legs are stitched together,  -and the waistband is stitched in place. Ottobre Kids 01/2024

Baby's Striped Dress!

This is a very soft and nice cotton that I had some leftovers after a top I made earlier.   All parts is cut, and ready for sewing together.  I stitched the sleeves to the top,  and then I stitched the neck band. I made a tunel for the rubberband. I had to gather the lower part, so it should fit the top.  I also decided to use rubberband at the hem of the short sleeves. Ottobre Kids 01/2024

Blouse with Ruffled Neck!

This is a blouse pattern from BurdaStyle 03/20 that I like. I made one for my friend as well. This time I made an alternation fo the short sleeves.  I found this lovely silk fabric on my holiday in Lithuania last summer ☼. I have used cotton voile for the lining. The sleeves are made of two layers and have two darts at the top of the shoulders, and these are stitched 4cm down. I have stitched the lining to the hem of the sleeve. The neck band are ruffled and stitched to the upper layer around the neck. Then I have to stitch the facing around the neck and the short sleeves in place. The blouse looks great together with a pair of black pant or a black pencil skirt. I fell in love with this fabric because of the print :) BurdaStyle #103 03/2020

Blouse with ruffled collar 💙

The blouse is based on the same pattern as I used to make the  Dress with Ruffled-neck .   I have used crepe georgette that are a light and soft fabric. I have sewn the ruffle around the neck. Then I stitched the back layer for the slit on top of the seam-allowance at the back-part. The short sleeves are stitched in place. I have stitched a seam close to the ruffle so it stays in place. The hem are sewn and the blouse is finished. BurdaStyle pattern 114 02/21
