Jersey Seam Dress!

Image
This is a pattern I wanted to make, but not found the right time until now.   I have used double woven jersey. I started sewing the front part from the top. I stitched the skirt together with the upperpart. I used inserts around the neck and sleve holes. This is how the dress looks like on the wrong side of the back part.  The cap-sleeves are stitched in place. The dress is without zipper, so I couldn't put it on my "Primadonna" :) BurdaStyle #122 09/2010

Wrap Dress with Lapel-collar!

Image
This is a pattern that really catched my eye! I like to challenge myself, and the lapel collar is a bit tricky to make, but this time I'm very happy with the outcome :) I have used light weight denim with a little stretch. I started with makeing all the inserts for the upper part. Then I stitched the the front and back panels together. This is the facing for the collar. I stitched the lower part to the collar before stitching the collar together.  I have also made a "fake" pocket on the left side. Then the skirt is stitched together with the upper part. I'm very happy with my new dress ☺️ BurdaStyle #111 12/2025

Dress made of baby-velvet!

Image
This pattern was great to use for a velvet dress! The tapered raglan sleeves are nice for this dress. The back parts are stitched together, and the bust inserts and the side seams. Then the raglan sleeves are stitchet in place, and the facing around the neck. I made the a-line skirt, At first, I stitched the waist band together with the top, - and then togehter with the skirt. The hem is stitched to the inside. I'm super happy with the outcome! :) Burdastyle pattern #112 01/2026

Sweatshirt Dress without sleeves

Image
I wanted to make a simple dress to have at the office.   Since I had this quilted sweatshirt in my stash, I decided to use it. Since I wanted to make the dress without sleeves, I made facing for the neck and the armholes. I stitched the zipper at the back before I stitched the shoulder- and the side seams. The facing around the neck and arm holes are stitched in place. BurdaStyle #105 09/2025
