Japanese Dress with gathering back 💚

Image
I was excited to try this pattern!  The dress has gathering at the back close to the zipper. I had to cut all the parts on the floor! The princess seams are stitched on the front upper part, - and on the back parts. The sleeves are stitched together and I have used 2 cm for the hem. The upper front part are stitched together with the lower skrit part. I made the gathering for the back part, and stitched it together with the lower part.  The line is curved at the back parts. When stiching the zipper in place, I cut a notch where the seamline is,  so it's easier to match the zipper on the other side. The invisible zipper is in place. This is how I cut of the zipper in the middle and flip the sides over each other.  I have stitched the facing around the neck, and stitched a seam very close to the seamline. The sleeves are stitched in place,  and the hem is turned to the inside and stitched. I think the dress is very cool at the back with the narrow gathering. Patte...

Top with a lot of Flowers 🌸🌸🌸

I had a bit fabric left of this wonderful flower viscose after I made a Dress for my Friend 💗 It was exatly enough to make a litte top without sleeves. The top is based on BurdaStyle pattern 04/2016, and I have used it several times before. This is one of them:  Top with pleats At first, I stitched the exposed pleats. Then I had to iron them in place.   The shoulders are stitched together. The bias are stitched around the arm-holes. I stitched a seam close to the seamline before stitching on top of the sleeve-holes. Then I stitched the facing around the neck. I had to make a seam at the back in lack of fabric.. Wool Presents!

Image
Everyone likes to wear wool clothes in wintertime! I have bought this fabulous Jacquardquality wool at  Janus.no   It's a blend of 80% merinowool and 20% polyamid. At first I made the top with long sleeves. Then I made the pants. The black one is made for another boy that are older. He got pants as well :) Both patterns are from Ottobre Kids fashion.

I fell in love with this fabulous boucle when I visited Copenhagen last summer 💫 My plan was to make a short jacket, but luckily I could make a skirt as well! I started with the front pocket flaps and stitching the upper parts together. I stitched the darts at the back panels. Since I had very little fabric I had to make a facing for the hem. The waistband is stitched before sewing the zipper in place. This is how I hand stitched the hem. The lining is made of micro satin that are very soft. The skirt is finished ☑️  Then I stitched the darts for the jacket. I made the facing and sew my name tag. The shoulder- and side seams are stitched. The zipper and facing are in place. The sleeve are stitched to the jacket. The hem are hand stitched, And the lining is stitched in place. This is how I stitched the lining for the sleeves. The jacket is finished and Good to Go! 💦 Janpanese Style book 2012 BurdaStyle pattern 02/2017
