Ellen's Sewing Passion

This is an outfit I'm gonna love to wear! I have made several blouses of the same BurdaStyle pattern,  and the Flower blouse is one of them with hi-low hem.  I was curious to try the pattern for the trousers, and it was rather interesting :) I made the pleat for the back part and stitched the yok together with the lower part. I have iron the button lists with vliseline and then to the inside.  The hem is turned and stitched to the inside before stitching the side seams together. I made a double yok, so it looks nice on the inside too. The collar are stitched together,  - and then stitched in place on the blouse. I made the slits for the sleeves before stitching the cuffs together. The blouse is finished. I have uses some nice transparent buttons that I bought in Tokyo. You can see the hi-and low hem, and that's what I like a lot! BurdaStyle #111 02/2020 I have used linen fabric for the pants, and I stitched the insert at the back  and the side pockets in place ...

This is a pattern I found in a Patrones Magazine. I have made it once before in jersey fabric, but this time I found a crinkle fabric texture in my stash that I wanted to try. Therefore I have to use a zipper at the back. All the parts are cut. The front had a lot of pleats at the front neck. The invisible zipper is stitched in place and then the collar. The sleeve are gathered at the hem before stitching the lower part toghether. The sleeve is also gathered at the shoulders, and then stitched to the top.
