Silk Top with sleeves💮

Image
I bought this wonderful silk fabric to use as lining for a jacket,  but I thougt it was to nice to use as lining, so I have saved it for a while. When I found this blouse pattern from BurdaStyle I thought would be great to use! At first, I stitched the bust dart. The shoulders are stitched together. I used a double layer of fabric as bias around the neck. Then I gathered the shoulders and stitched the sleeves in place. Since the sleeves are wide at the hem, they are not quite long. The shoulders are gathered. I had to make a seam at the back in lack of fabric. BurdaStyle pattern #111 08/2020

Linen Shirt with Stripes & "Diamond" Buttons 💎

If someone asks me what my favorite pattern is, I will definitive answer this blouse pattern! I have used the pattern over and over again, and here is one of  My Version This time, I wanted to make the sleeves different, so I have cut wide cuffs so I can fold it up, and the sleeves will be shorter than normal. At first, I stitched the hem to the inside before stitching the side seams together. The pleats at the back are folded, and both, the outer and the inner yok are stitched in place. The collar is stitched to the collar-stand. I made the slits for the opening at the sleeve-hem. The collar and sleeves are stitched in place. I found this nice and shiny buttons in my stash :) It's easy to see the low-hi hem of the blouse when liftening the sleeve. BurdaStyle #111 02/2020

Cotton Flower Blouse!🌼

I bought a wonderful cotton fabric at  Stoffdronning.no and I thought it would be nice to make a blouse.   I have cut all the parts, and I have to tell that I especially like  the hi-low hem for the blouse, and here is another version :) I stitched the yok and the shoulder seams,  - then the hem and the side seams. I made the sleeves,  and added the cuffs for the sleeves. Then I stitched the collar and collar-stand together, and stitched it around the neck. The sleeves where stitched into the arm-holes. I found some red buttons to match the blouse. BurdaStyle #111 02/2020

Blouse with Roses 🌹🌹🌹

This is a pattern that I love, and I can't get enough of it! I have used it over and over again, and if you like, you can see one of my version here. I found the lovely fabric at  Lysthuset.no. I bought the only one meter that was left in the shop, and I wish there was more! I was glad that I could squees out all the parts for the blouse of the fabric.  Since I didn't have enough fabric to make long sleeves, I just had to shorten them. I had to cut the inner collar stand in two pieces and sew it together.  I had to do the same for the inner yok. The hem is stitched before I stitched the princess seams. Then I attatched the collar to the blouse. I made cuffs for the sleeves a bit wide so I didn't need any opening. You can see the curve from the side, and that's what I love about this pattern. The hem is hi-low. BurdaStyle pattern #111 02/2020.
