Ellen's Sewing Passion

  Sometimes I need to have a new challenge, and this was a great one! At first, I draw the pattern on to the fabric, Then I cut all the holes open. The short sleeves are just open lines through the fabric. I cut cords for knotting the holes together. This is how the back looks like after knotting. I stitched a double band around the neck,  and the hem with a double needle. The girl was amazed when she got the top :) BurdaStyle 03/2013 

  I wanted to join the #SewAprilBlous24 hosted by Ruan and Gabriella on Instagram. So this is my version :) I had to find fabric that goes well together,  and I found these in my stath. I had more linen fabric left after I made the White Party Dress , so I thought it would be great together with the flower- and the striped fabric. I had to cut facing for the lower part of the blouse,  - and stitch it together first, before I attached it to the upper part of the blouse. The back part,  and the front parts are finished. This is how it looks like. Then I stitched the collar and collar-stand in place. I made button holes as well. I'm happy how the blouse turned out :)

This was my final task at the origami course that I attended. This looks like a spidernet, and it's a bit sophisticated. After cutting it apart I added space between the lines for the foldings. I had to make it very exactly to match the corners for each part. This is the firts step, and how it looks like on the wrong side. Next step is finished. Then the whole project is finished, but I have to make the other half of the jacket too! 😅 I'm very Happy to receive my Origami Master Certification!  

Sometimes I go Crazy with garments! 😆 I started with the red top because that was a light wool top. It had a lot small holes and therefore perfect for refashion. The colorful sweater are grey on the back side, and you can see below how I have cut the different pieces. I have enclosed small parts from earlier refashion. I have used application paper underneath when sewing the small pieces to the front since the top is  stretchy. For the wide neck I have used the ribbon-hem from the orange sweater. I chose to make different sleeves. The dress is nearly finished, only the sleeves are missing. As a finish for the hem I have used a combination of ribbed wool from the sweater  and a sparling green ribbon I had left from another project.
