Ellen's Sewing Passion

This is a knitted fabric I found in my stash. I have made a dress of the same fabric earlier. I had exactly enough fabric to make a sweater  when I turned the sleeves in the other direction :) I did iron vliseline on the shoulders at the back.  Instead of making tunnels for the rubberband, I stitched it directly on the marked line.  I did the same for the sleeves. I thought the edge of the fabric was very nice, so I attached that for the sleeve hem. I stitched a layer of fabric at the hem and turned it to the outside, therefore it looks a bit cozy. The sleeves looks very nice with the rubberband. I like the turtle-neck, but it must not be to narrow..  BurdaStyle #127 08/2025

  This is a pattern I have wanted to try, but haven't found the right momente until now :) This was the leftovers after I made my Jacket and Skirt I love the orange fabric,  so I squeezed parts for this jumper :) I had to combine the sleeves with black, but that's make it more interesting :) I stitched the zipper in place at the back panels. This is the facing for around the neck. I wanted to have it comfy, so I didn't use vliseline. Patrones #22 12/2016

This is a great pattern from BurdaStyle 10/2015 that I have tried twice before,  and I thought this fabric would be great for another sweater like this. The neck is rather long, but it's going to be close to a double layer. Since the fabric was very delicate, I have to use fastening tape for all the seams.   I bought some nice quilted sweatshirt fabric and thought it would be nice for a sweater. I found a BurdaStyle pattern from 2022 that I wanted to try. I like esesially the wide sleeves. At first, I stitched the zipper at the back, and stitched the panels together.  I shorten the zipper as you can see on the picture. The shoulder seams are stitched, and the facing around the neck. Then I made the cuffs and gathered the sleeve hem to the same wide. Then I stitched the cuffs in a double layer for the sleeve hem. The side seams are stitched, and the sleeves are attatched. The sweater was a great match for my dress that is made of the same fabric. The shoulders are very low for the sweater. BurdaStyle 11/2022
