Happy Shirt :D

Image
This is a colorful and Happy shirt I made on my holiday! At first I decided to make the shirt with cutout back like BurdaStyle pattern #106, but I didn't have enough fabric. I wanted to show the nice print of the fabric, so therefore I made a long shirt. Of course I can use it as a mini-dress as well. I just love this colorful shirt and it makes me HAPPY to wear it 😇    Burdastyle pattern #106 01/2018

Kimono Jacket

Image
I found this  lovely fabric at  Kre Stoffer  and thought it would be nice for a kimono jacket. There are so many nice pattern at BurdaStyle February issue and this is one of them 👈 I think this fabric was nice to combined with a plain black fabric. I have also stitched the belt and the collar several times as decoration. - and I'm very happy how it turned out! 😊 Burdastyle Pattern #105 02/2018

Tulip Blazer and Skirt

Image
I'm ready for spring to come!💚💜💗 It was a while since I've made a blazer with this kind of collar, so I was struggling with the collar stand, and I think I did it much more difficult than I had too.. The instruction for the pattern was in Spanish  so I had to look it up on the internet instead. The fabric is cotton with stretch and I just love this printed Tulips! I have used satin lining for the blazer and stretch lining for the skirt.  The thing that I love about this pattern is the peplum and the belt at the waist. If you look closer you will see that it is a double layer of peplum, which make it very unique. The skirt is nice with the inserts at the waist and back panels.  These inserts makes the skirt very well fitted, and the length is very nice too. Burdastyle pattern #106 03/2018 I have made my own shoulder pads which I found this  Shoulder Pads pattern.pdf  on the internet.

Cropped Blazer

A short Blazer is nice to wear, both together with pants and skirts, and it's very versatile and great for any occasion.                                     When I saw the picture in the Burda Magazine I knew I had to make it in red. I had cotton pique available in my stash, so that's my choice! I like the tiny pleats at the waist, it's like a little decoration 👈 For the lining have used poly stretch and it's nice to wear. African print Dress

Image
I love African wax print! 💗 One of the task we had in the Norwegian Sewing Bee was to make a dress of such nice fabric! I got this fabric from my lovely friend @trudeludie and it was a closing sale after the show finished. Lucky me!😊 I found the pattern in the  Patrones magazine At first I thought it would be to much with the flounces on the sleeves, but I think it made the dress a bit special. If I don't like it, it's easy to cut it off.. The dress has pockets in the sides and a knotted belt at the waist.

Leggings and Top

My brother in law sent me a photo from a marked when he was in Nice, and said: "You should have been here!" I said; "wow, I would love that one with the flowers" "No problem", he said.  Lucky me got this lovely fabric from my nice brother in law 😊 It was perfect to make a pair of leggings and a top for a new exercise outfit!                     Burdastyle pattern #107 01/2018      BurdaStyle pattern #114 07/2005
