My favorite fabric!

Image
This fabric really catched my eye! I found it in a local shop in my home town, and it has just arrived the day before. I love to make dresses, so I found a pattern I haven't tried before. I had to cut the front part on the right side. I marked with stitches where the pleats are going to bee.  The pleats are stitched in place. The darts are stitched at the back penels. The side seams for the upper part are stitched together, and the side seams for the skirt are stitched tohether. This is the whole skirt. The top is stitched to the skirt, and the invisible zipper are stitched in place. I made cuffs for the sleeves instead of hemming them.  I found some nice buttons in my stash that fits very well. The dress is finished and I'm very pleased with the result :) I do not like to wear a narrow neck so I left the upper-part a bit open. BurdaStyle pattern #102 11/2022

Wrap Top !

Image
I had a bit fabric left after I made the  Jersey Wrap Dress , and it was exactly enough to make this wrap top. The cap-sleeves are made in double layers. I attached the cap-sleeves before sewing the side seams. I also stitched a double bias around the neck first. The top is finished and I love the marbled fabric :)  I omitted the waist-band. Sparkling Outfit!

My granddaughter was very happy when she could choose the fabric for her outfit  - and of course it had to be a sparkling fabric! 💙 She wanted me to make a bolero jacket with bell-cuffs as a finich for the sleeves. I had to make some small pleats for the curves around the hem. The sleeves are ready to be stitched together with the body. Burda Kids Fasion 01/2022 She loves dancing and to turning around, so the skirt had to be rather wide. I have used a rubberband at the waist.  I made a pair of leggings as well since I had enough fabric :) Burda Kids Fasion 01/2022

Skate T-shirts and Jogging Pants!

Image
I love fabric with printed letters, and when I found this, I was sure that the boys would like it too :) I've made an easy T-shirt with black ribbed jersey around the neck. I also made a pair of jogging pats, and this is the first time I have tried this kind of pattern  with no seam in the middle. I thought it was nice to pop it up wiht an orange ribbon. Boat-Neck Dress!

Image
I love to make dresses and this was a pattern that I had to try. The dress has inserted side-pockets and cap-sleeves.  The front and back-panels are cut out. The cap-sleeves are cut in double layer, as well as the side-pockets. The dress has a boat-neck. The shoulder- and the side-seams are stitched together before the sleeves are attached.  The boat-neck is handstitched in place. The hem is hand-stitched as well. BurdaStyle pattern
