Turquoise Outfit!💦

I fell in love with this fabulous boucle when I visited Copenhagen last summer 💫 My plan was to make a short jacket, but luckily I could make a skirt as well! I started with the front pocket flaps and stitching the upper parts together. I stitched the darts at the back panels. Since I had very little fabric I had to make a facing for the hem. The waistband is stitched before sewing the zipper in place. This is how I hand stitched the hem. The lining is made of micro satin that are very soft. The skirt is finished ☑️  Then I stitched the darts for the jacket. I made the facing and sew my name tag. The shoulder- and side seams are stitched. The zipper and facing are in place. The sleeve are stitched to the jacket. The hem are hand stitched, And the lining is stitched in place. This is how I stitched the lining for the sleeves. The jacket is finished and Good to Go! 💦 Janpanese Style book 2012 BurdaStyle pattern 02/2017

Shirt for young Man!

It was time to make a new shirt for our son! Linen is great for a shirt like this and it's perfect for summer ☼ The shirt is based on a pattern from BurdaStyle that I like very much.   All the pieces are cut and ready to be sewn. The front bands are sewn on the wrong side and turned, and then stitched to the front pieces. The pocket are sewn on the left side.  The collar and collar stand are sewn in place and stitched around. The sleeves with sleeve-band are sewn in place. I found some nice buttons in my stash to fit the fabric. I think the shirt fits our son very well :) BurdaStyle pattern #143 06/2016

I can't help it, but this Adrienne pattern is one of my Favorite! I have already made several blouses or tops, and I found it very attractive! The pattern is the same both for the front and the back,  but I did a little alternation with the neck at the back as you can see on the picture below. The sleeves are very wide and are gathered with rubber-band  both on the shoulders and the sleeve hem. Adrienne Blouse from Fridaypatterncompany
