Ellen's Sewing Passion

I wanted to surprice our little granddaughter with this cute suspender shorts.    All the pieces are cut in a nice cotton fabric bought at Stoffdronning.no ,  and the lining for the upper part is cut in cotton voile.  This was the fabric I had left after I made my Dress . I made the pocket for the upper part, and the back pockets are stitched in place. The legs are stitched together, and the hem are folded. I made the flounces for the suspenders, and stitched the upper part in place. The suspenders are fasten with a button on the inside of the back. BurdaStyle 05/2018

Our granddaughter loves to dance and swirling around 😄 I bought these lovely fabric on my holiday in Tenerife, and I knew that our granddaughter would love the colours.  I have made one  Bodysuit  earlier for her. The bodysuit has rubber band around the neck and the legs. You can see the fabric is rather shiny. She had to try the outfit at once :) I made my own patter for a circle skirt. I was lucky and had exactly enough fabric to make a little shorts as well. BurdaStyle pattern #130 08/2020 I made the pink bodysuit for my friend's daughter.  - and also a skirt to match with the bodysuit.

This outfit was great to do a cartwheel 🤸‍♀️ I made an easy jersey top and rubled short for this "young lady" 🌺 The top has V-neck and gathering at the shoulders. The short sleeves and the hem are stitched with a twin-needle or coverlock. The top is based on an Ottobre pattern. She loves to do acrobatics on the lawn :) All the parts for the shorts are cut out. At first, I made the inserted pockets at the side seams.   Then stitching the ruffles to the bottom, before sewing the parts together. Then the lining, and inserting the rubber-band. The shorts is based on a BurdaStyle pattern.

This young lady wantet me to make a belly-top for her. She chose the fabric for her self and it was a great choice :) I made a biker shorts for her as well. I have used very narrow zig-zag for the hem of the top.  She was very Happy and was wearing the outfit right away! She loves to dress up my Prymadonna with fabric :) I'm wearing my  Merino Wool Dress  that is an earlier project. I made short sleeves with gathering at the shoulders, and that was her wish.

I asked the boys if they would like to have a T-shirt with pirates. Then the girl say; "I wanna have one!" I thought I had to make it a bit girlish, and found these patterns in BurdaStyle 07//22. The top are gathered at the neck and the short sleeves has ribbon jersey at the sleeve hem. The pair of shorts has a little slits at the side and ribbon at the waist.  I have used a tie as decoration. Burdastyle pattern #130 07/2022 Burdastyle pattern #131 07/2022
