Japanese Top! 💗🖤🧡

Image
I found this fabuous chiffon in my stash! These are my favorite colors and I decided to make a top that I found in the Japanese Style book.  I stitched the bottom to the sleeve. The square part are stitched to the front and back, and then stitched to the sleeve. I have used linen as lining for the top. The neck are rather wide, but it's going to be gathered.  I have stitched two seams closed to each other. This is the sleeve- and the neck-ribbon made of linen. I stitched the ribbon in place, and the top is finished. I have top-stitched the ribbon for the sleeve-hem. Pattern from a Japanese Styling book.

Chiffon dress for my Lovely Friend 💟

Image
I made this dress for my lovely friend 💖 We had a trip to Stavanger visiting a local shop  and she found this lovely chiffon fabric that she fell in love with,  and we bought every inches that was left :) She has chosen a pattern from BurdaStyle with high waist line. I made rouleau for the buttons in front. The facing for the neck is stitched on top of the lining. Then the long sleeves are stitched to the top. I have used rubber-band as a finish for the sleeve hem. Since I didn't have enough fabric to make a maxi dress,  I had to skip one of the gathered flounce.   The sleeves are without lining and that makes it more interesting. The sleeves are gathered by the shoulders. BurdaStyle pattern #102 04/2021

Fantail Shirt!

This is my favorite color at the moment! 💙 - and together with printed chiffon fabrid for the sleeves - I just love it! I'm not a big fan of pdf pattern, but it's very easy to order! This Fantail shirt pattern is from  The Sewing Revival I found this cool printed chiffon in my stash and thought it would be nice together with the jersey. I had to think twice which color to choose for the bias around the neck. I ended up with black chiffon! The hi-low effect for the hem is nice - and also with the rubber band in front.

Long Chiffon Dress!

My lovely model Maria 🧡 She is wearing my latest sewing project  - chiffon dress with with flounces! The dress is based on a BurdaStyle pattern #102 04/21 I love the colorful chiffon, and it's soft and feels nicely to the body. The front part has rouleau loops for buttons as a decorations detail.      I found this lovely chiffon in my stash and it's ready to be cut. I realized it's easy to rip apart the fabric for the layers to the skirt. Then the layers will be very exact. I have used french seams for the sides. Skirt is gathered and ready. I have made rouleau loops for the buttons on the top. Since the chiffon are transparent I have used cotton voile as lining. Maria on the Catwalk. BurdaStyle pattern #102 04/2021
