Ellen's Sewing Passion

I was so Happy with my red sergeant jacket that I decided to make another one in turquoise :) I fell in love with the great dress pattern from BurdaStyle 05/2017, and had to try it. The dress was a challenge with two layers of linen fabric and two layers of lining..       BurdaStyle pattern #129 10/2013

It was a lot of fun sewing this jacket :) Linen is a great fabric to work with. Instead of sewing velour ties in front I made paspels in black linen and decorated them with buttons. To make it even more special I have used red and gold ties as decoration on the collar and the sleeves.  I have used cotton fabric as lining for the body and black ordinary lining for the sleeves.       Burdastyle pattern #129 10/2013

I fell in love with this lovely batik cotton! I had to find a nice pattern so I could use the embroidery at the edge. It was a lot of work with rubber band both at the waist,  neck and sleeve hem, but I'm happy with the result :) Burdastyle pattern #125 05/2010

This sweatshirt fabric is so nice and it was perfect for a casual Bomber Jacket. I have used white piping for decoration and I think the jacket looks lovely on Sara ♥    Burdastyle pattern #102 06/2015 Thanks BurdaStyle for featuring My Project :)    View project
