Japanese handbag #7

This is a pattern that I really wnated to try! I like this style of handbag because it's perfect when travelling,  and then you have space for a lot of things.  For making the sides stiff enough I have used thick paper,  and I just made a template and cut it out. I made a pocket with zipper for one side of the lining, and a bigger and a smaller for the other side. I decorated the zipper with some nice charmes. I also made a pocket for the outside with a magnetic snap button. I have used red piping and I also decorated one side with some silk-band.  I bought a Japanese Handbag-book when visiting Japan :) I made the handbag to match with my outfit💓

Japanese Handbag :)

I made a handbag as a gift when we had a Local Catwalk 😊 My model Christine is showing the bag to the audience before we had the raffle. I have used cotton fabric, and volum vliseline to make the bag steady. I chose checked cotton crepe as lining for the bag,  and I made a little pocket as well. . This is the wrong side turning out, and I stitched both the linging and the outside fabric together. I have used a magnetic push-button so it's easy to close and open the bag. The handels for the bag is made of leather that I bought in Copenhagen. I have stitched an outer seam to keep it steady. The patterns is from a book I bought when I had a trip to Japan :)

Japanese Handbag to match my Skirt!

Image
I wanted to make a handbag to match my  Crazy Skirt  since I  had more fabric left :) I have combined the cotton twill fabric with fake leather. The pattern is rather easy if you understand it :) I have used quilted fabric so the handbag should be a bit steady. The upper parts have a double layer of fabric. I have used magnetic push button as opening. The flap with the magnetic push button is stitched in place. This is how it looks like. The inside pocket is made of double layer of fabric. The pocket is stitched in place. The lining for the bag is stitched together at the opening. I have used embroidered cotton fabric for the lining for the handbag. This is how it looks like inside. I'm looking forward to use my new handbag :) The pattern is from a book I bought in Japan. This is a photo from my trip to Bangkok.
