Ellen's Sewing Passion

It makes me Happy when the kids love the clothes that I make 😍 I had a piece left of denim jersey and some small pieces of the checked fabric. This is left overs from a  Dress I made  earlier. At first I had to stitched the facing for the front panels and the left side pocket. The pleats at the back are layed in the right direction, and the back-yoke is stitched in place. I stitched an inner yok as well. The short sleeves are stitched together and the sleeve hem is stitched. I made the collar and the collarstand, and stitched on top of the facing. The sleeves where stitched in place and the hem. BurdaStyle Kids 1/24

The fabric I have used is a combination of linen and cotton, and it is delicious to wear in summertime. I fell in love with it right away when I saw it in Copenhagen. The pattern is from BurdaStyle magazine for May 2024. I started with sewing the panels together for the front. - and the back panels were stitched together. The facing for the neck are stitched in place. Even though this pattern doesn't have any sleeves, I deceided that I wanted to have long sleeves. The sleeve hem is finished with a sleeve band with rubber-band. I hand stitched the hem.  It's a comfy dress and I love the colors! I like the square neck a lot. I made gathering at the shoulders. I decided to sell clothes I made to raise money for our choir, and the choir members thought this was a good idea and joined the catwalk💃 It was a special event for me, and I'm together with Elin that was very happy when she won  the Raincoat  I made when I participated the Norwegian Sewing Bee competition 💛 I'm wearing my  Flower Dress  made of jersey. Eileen was lovely in the  Ribbed Wool Dress - and Christine shows the  Party Glam  dress🎉 Ruth is wearing an  Adrienne Blouse  and colorful skirt I've made.
