Dress made of baby-velvet!

This pattern was great to use for a velvet dress! The tapered raglan sleeves are nice for this dress. The back parts are stitched together, and the bust inserts and the side seams. Then the raglan sleeves are stitchet in place, and the facing around the neck. I made the a-line skirt, At first, I stitched the waist band together with the top, - and then togehter with the skirt. The hem is stitched to the inside. I'm super happy with the outcome! :) Burdastyle pattern #112 01/2026

Velvet Dress - Xmas present!

I made a velvet dress for this cute baby-girl of the fabric I had left  after I made  the Pants with bell-bottom . The flower-decoration is from my mother in law.  I gathered the neck to fit with the upper part. At first I stitched the flower decoration with the sawing machine, but then I realize I had to hand-stitch it as well. The facing are stitched to the inside, and the side seams are stitched together. The sleeves are stitched to the dress after gathering.

This is a dress the Sweetie has wanted for a long time.. I found the grey velvet in my stash, but since she loves colors,  she wanted to have different colors for the bows to pop it up a bit :) The upper front are gathered in the middle with an invisible elastic rubberband. It has a double layer of fabric as well.  The dress is finished and the girl has to pick the colors she wanted to have for the bows. Ottobre Kids pattern 06/2012

Sometime I need to make an quick and easy project! I was curious to try this pattern from Burda Easy Fashion 05/22  I found this nice velvet in a local fabric shop  and thought it would be perfect for a pair of wide leg pants. The pants has elastick at the waist so it's easy to wear as well 😉   Burda Easy 5/2022
