Girl's Top with Leaves ☘️🍃

Image
Our granddaughter looked at a patten she liked, and asked if I could make this top for her. I had a small part left of this beautiful jersey after my "Green Shades" Dress . I cut all the parts,  but change the upper front part with black jersey. I had to stitched the bias around the neck before stitcking the front together. Then I stitched around the arm holes before stiching the side seams. Then I stitched the hem with the coverlock machine, and also around the neck and armholes. Ottobre Kids pattern 02/2015

Japanese Dress with gathering back 💚

I was excited to try this pattern!  The dress has gathering at the back close to the zipper. I had to cut all the parts on the floor! The princess seams are stitched on the front upper part, - and on the back parts. The sleeves are stitched together and I have used 2 cm for the hem. The upper front part are stitched together with the lower skrit part. I made the gathering for the back part, and stitched it together with the lower part.  The line is curved at the back parts. When stiching the zipper in place, I cut a notch where the seamline is,  so it's easier to match the zipper on the other side. The invisible zipper is in place. This is how I cut of the zipper in the middle and flip the sides over each other.  I have stitched the facing around the neck, and stitched a seam very close to the seamline. The sleeves are stitched in place,  and the hem is turned to the inside and stitched. I think the dress is very cool at the back with the narrow gathering. Patte...

Linen Summer Outfit! 🌞

I'm in love with Green for the moment 💚 I bought this nice linen fabric online from Lituania. It has very tiny stripes, but that makes it even more interesting. I had exactly enough to make both a jacket and a skirt. I have made the jacket with Tulips  of the same pattern before. I found the skirt pattern in an old magazine. The skirt has a little split at the one side. All the pieces are cut out, and I was so happy that I manage to cut out a skirt as well :) I started with sewing the inserts for the skirt, and then the zipper at the back panels. To stitch very narrow the zipper from the hem and up I have to change the sewing-foot. The invisible zipper are stitched in place. The skirt is finished, but I have to make the lining.    I had to leave an opening for the split at the side.       BurdaStyle pattern from 07/97  I have stitched the pleats for the front panels,  - amd for the back panel. Side seams are stitched, and the sleeves have to be s...
