It's the Back that Counts!

I found some interesting dress patterns from an older BurdaStyle magazine.

This is one that I wanted to try. I have lengthened the pattern
since the dress was only 48 cm from the waist.

The front part has princess seams and the back part has open parts between strips.

At first I stitched the princess seams in place.

I stitched the parts for the opening at the back together.

Then I stitched them to the opening at the back,

- and I stitched the back facing in place.

I have to make button holes and sew buttons at the end.

I stitched the facing for the front in place, before stitching the shoulders together.

The pocket flaps are stitched and the seams are iron in place.

The pockets are attached to the front panel.

The zipper is sewn at the left side, and then the right side seams are sewn together.

The buttons are in place :)

I hand stitched the hem and the slits as a finish.
