Japanese Striped Jacket !

I bought a Japanese pattern book when I visited Japan last time,
but unfortunately it has not been used until now because I thought it looked very difficult.

At first, it was hard to find the right lines when I was trying to draw the pattern,
but all of a sudden I managed, so I decided to try this jacket pattern.

I started with stitching the front parts together.

The back is gathered at the lower mid-part.

I made the pockets with lining.

- and the pockets are stitched to the front parts.

The front and back part are stitched together.

I made a lining for the jacket.

This is the most difficult part, to stitch the collar together.

I also decided to stitch a ribbon arond the collar and the sleeves.

I'm sure this will be one of my favorite jackets :)

At the end, I stitched a ribbon at the hem as well, like the japanese pattern.

I had to cut away the seam allowance before stitching ribbon around the collar.

I found this nice buttons in my stash that I thought was perferct for the jacket.

The backpartk is decorated with a ribbon as well.
