Knitted Sweater!

Image
This is a knitted fabric I found in my stash. I have made a dress of the same fabric earlier. I had exactly enough fabric to make a sweater  when I turned the sleeves in the other direction :) I did iron vliseline on the shoulders at the back.  Instead of making tunnels for the rubberband, I stitched it directly on the marked line.  I did the same for the sleeves. I thought the edge of the fabric was very nice, so I attached that for the sleeve hem. I stitched a layer of fabric at the hem and turned it to the outside, therefore it looks a bit cozy. The sleeves looks very nice with the rubberband. I like the turtle-neck, but it must not be to narrow..  #127 08/2025

Easy Dress for the Office :)

Image
This is a great dress to use at the office! I have used quilted sweatshirt fabric that are very warm. I had to cheer the dress up with a scarf since I love colors :)  I also made a  Casual Wool dress  of the same pattern. At first I wanted to make a round neck, but at the end  I decided to make a V-neck as in the instruction. I found a nice poly-satin in my stash that was perfect for the inner pockets. At first, I stitched very closely to the seam,  and then I top-stitched the pocket. Then the other layer of the pocket is made of the same fabric. I made the facing for the neck, and I iron vliseline on the back side.  I hand-stitched around the facing so it should stay in place. The shoulders and the side seams are stitched together. Since the seam made with the serger are a bit thick, I cut a notch where the folded line for the hem is. Then it's alo easier to stitch with the cover-lock or a twin-needle. The hem of the sleeves are stitched with a doub...

Patrones Sweater!

Image
This is a pattern I have wanted to try, but haven't found the right momente until now :) This was the leftovers after I made my Jacket and Skirt I love the orange fabric,  so I squeezed parts for this jumper :) I had to combine the sleeves with black, but that's make it more interesting :) I stitched the zipper in place at the back panels. This is the facing for around the neck. I wanted to have it comfy, so I didn't use vliseline. Patrones #22 12/2016

Delicious fabric Sweater!

Image
This is a great pattern from BurdaStyle 10/2015 that I have tried twice before,  and I thought this fabric would be great for another sweater like this. The neck is rather long, but it's going to be close to a double layer. Since the fabric was very delicate, I have to use fastening tape for all the seams. This pictures shows the neck before I have folded it in. BurdaStyle #108 10/2015
