Ellen's Sewing Passion

This is a pattern I have tried before, but I think it's very nice for a girl. I have cut all the parts in linen fabric, and the ribbon for the neck is cut on bias. At first, I stitched the shoulders- and the side-seams together. Then I stitched the front pocket in place. Then I stitched the ribbon around the neck and the arm-holes.   I made a jacket with hoodie for our grandson for Christmas 🎄💖 I chose to use plain black jersey together with the sweatshirt fabric. The pocket are stitched right on the fabric, and I decided to use ribbon to cover the seam. The sleeve has an inserted black panel as well. The sleeves are stitched in place, I used jersey as a lining for the hoodie. Then the zipper is stitched in place, and I made an underlap for the zipper. Ottobre Kids 1/2009

  Since I had more fabric left after I made my Blouse Jacket , I had enough fabric to make a skirt too. This is a pattern from BurdaStyle 2012 that I have wanted to try, and now I found that it was time to try it. I stitched the lining for the pockets in front panel. Then I stitched the pockets on the other opening, and closed the seam on the upper part.  I stitched an inner-seam for the pocket of lining. I stitched the inserts at the back panels. I stitched the invisible zipper at the back and shorten it. The skirt is finished. BurdaStyle 10/2012

I wanted to make some comfortable clothes for our sweet granddaughter, and found this flowerful jersey in my stash. The top has raglan sleeves. I combine the flower fabric with pink jersey around the neck  and as a finish for the sleeves. Ottobre Kids 01/2024 I decided to make a pair of pants to match the top. The pants have front pockets. I have used ribbon at the waist, and the hem is stitched with a double needle. Ottobre Kids 01/2024
