Ellen's Sewing Passion

I wanted to surprice a young girl with this present for her birthday:) The handbag has two pleats on each side, so this cotton fabric was very nice to use. I made a pocket with zipper on one side of the lining, and a little pocket for the mobile phone on the other side. I have used a magnetic snap button for the opening. The handle are made of leather that I bought in Copenhagen. The cross-stitches are just for decoration. I found the pattern in a Japanese handbag book. She was happy with her new handbag 🧡

This colorful cotton fabric was perfect to make a handbag. I have combined it with black linen. I made two pocket in one for the lining inside the handbag. On the other side I made a pocket with zipper for small things. I have used magnetic snap button for the opening. I hope my friend will be happy with her new handbag :)

I have used poplin fabric that are wind- and water repellent. The handle is made of leather. I stitched a little pocket for the phone for the inside lining. I also made a pocket for the small things like lipstic etc. I have used a magnetic snap button so it's easy to open and close the handbag. I had to make holes for hand-stitching around the handle. I bought a book with handbag pattern when I visit Japan.
